  • Nifty future is looking bullish on the charts .In today’s trading session Nifty traded with positive movement and closed with overall gain of 0.09%. Nifty has crosses its important resistance mark of 9900 and sustaining above it. In upcoming trading sessions further up side movement can be seen in it and it can test up side levels of 9970 & 10040 if it crosses its next resistance level of 9950 while downside 9870 will act as a good support level.

  •  BANK NIFTY future is looking bearish on the charts .In today’s trading session Bank Nifty traded with negative movement and closed with overall loss of 0.74%. Bank Nifty has breached its important support level of 24500 and sustaining below it. In upcoming trading sessions further down side movement can be seen in it and it can test down side levels of 24100 & 24000 if it breach its next support level of 24200 while up side 24500 will act as a good resistance level. 

    NIFTY & SENSEX
    Nifty ends above 9,900  

    • Market closed marginally higher amidst volatile trade. Benchmark indices namely Nifty ended Thursday’s trade at 9,900 level gaining 6 points, whereas BSE Sensex closed higher gaining 24 points at 31,795 level. Infosys was the top Nifty gainer on Thursday’s trade.
    • Infosys closed higher by 4.83% at Rs 1,022.30 per share. L&T closed lower by 0.76% at Rs 1,133 per share. 
    • On sectoral indices front, Consumer Durables, IT, Metals and Oil & Gas ended on a positive note. Meanwhile, Auto, Bank Nifty, Capital Goods, FMCG and Healthcare closed lower. 
    • BSE Mid-cap index closed lower by 0.35% at 15,228. BSE Small-cap index closed higher by 0.54% at 15,695. India VIX closed higher by 1.53% at 11.  
    • There were 907 advances, 725 declines and 328 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a mild positive undertone floating in the market.
    • Infosys, NTPC and Coal India were the top Nifty gainers, whereas Cipla, ACC and Maruti Suzuki India were the top Nifty losers. 
    • Metal stocks were buzzing on the bourses on Thursday’s trade. Coal India closed higher by 4.11% at Rs 246.80 per share, Hindustan Zinc closed higher by 1.34% at Rs 294.50 per share and Hindalco Industries closed lower by 1.48% at Rs 230.15 per share. BEML on Thursday’s traded on a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1889.00 per share. 
    • The stock rallied on the back of new metro rail policy approved by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. The stock closed higher by 8.30% at Rs 1895.85 per share.

    Closing Bell:-

    Gainers:-

     Infy (+4.5%),
     Coal India, NTPC (+4%). 

    Losers:-

     Cipla (-2.5%),
     Kotak Bank, Adani Ports (-2%). 

    Nifty IT Index:-

    up over 1%. Infy (+5%), Just Dial (+3%), Mindtree (+2%), Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech (+2%). 

     GMR Infra:-

     stock rallies 13% after SC nod for commercial use of Delhi airport land. 

       Infosys:-

     stock soars 5% as board to consider share buyback on August 19. 

      Nifty Bank Index:-

     down 1%. Kotak Bank (-2%), Yes Bank, IndusInd, HDFC Bank, PNB (-1%).

      Power Grid:-

     board approves investment of Rs 1,931 Cr for 3 plants. Stock dips 1%.  

       DLF:-

     in final stages of selling stake in rental arm, as per media reports. Stock rises 2.5%.
