Opening Bell - Nifty opens flat; Bank Nifty down by over 100 points

Equity tips:-
  • The BSE Sensex opened higher by 26 points at 32502, while the Nifty50 opened almost flat at the 10081 mark.
  • Sun Pharma was top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 527.3 per share, up by 0.72% while Tata Steel was top Nifty loser trading at Rs 563.5 per share, down by 1.01%. There were 680 advances, 673 declines and 466 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the market.
  • Bank Nifty index opened at 25002 level, down by 53 points and is now trading at 24935 level, down by 103 points. All the bank stocks have been trading in negative territory.
  • Bajaj Electricals, CEAT, Colpal, Cummins India, HCC, IOC and Titan are the important companies which are going to announce their financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017.
  • Rupee opened at 63.67 per US Dollar as against yesterday’s closing of 63.7 per USD.
  • US stock displayed a mixed performance on Wednesday with the Dow finished above the important psychological 22,000 mark for the first time as Apple shares rallied to a record after strong earning. The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 52 points to end at 22,016. The S&P 500 rose a point to close at 2,477 and the Nasdaq Composite Index slipped less than a point to end at 6,362.
  • Most of the Asian stocks were trading in negative territory in early trade on Thursday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 has slipped 81 points.  Hong Kong Hang Seng has plunge 139 points, while China’s Shanghai Composite trading flat with positive bias.

Morning Update of Indian Share Market- 5 December 2018

The Indian Stock Market opens on a negative on a Wednesday, before the result of RBI fifth bi-monthly policy review. The S&P BSE Sensex opened at 36,035.65, and also the nifty50 measuring device of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), opened at 10,820.45.  At 9:17Am, the Sensex was at 35,949.25, down 185.06 points or 0.51% and also the nifty50 was at 10,808.55, with a loss of 60.95 points or 0.56%.In the last session, Sensex had closed at 36,134.31 and the Nifty at 10,869.  The top gainers stocks are: IOC, ONGC, NTPC, Infratel, BPCL, HDFC Bank, Sunpharma and GAIL.  The Top losers stocks are – Hindalco, Tatamotors, Titan, ITC, Kotak Bank and Infy.
